Blue reminds me of a summer day, lying on the beach, watching the waves. Blue reminds me of a big sky, of pleasurable feelings and of warmth.

This image looks at the memories and associations colours evoke, some are strong at a conscious level, though others tend to be more distant.

There are three layers within this image. The first are the objects protruding from the printed photograph, the vase and the frame, each of a particular hue of blue. The second, middle layer, is the associated, all be it, broken, conscious memory brought on by the hue of these objects. The final layer, the background, is the full, unbroken memory, only accessible at a subconscious level.
