This photographic sculpture of a pink, blue, and yellow lollipop is part of Consumer Loves, a series probing the restless yearning that shapes our lives. The lollipop’s vivid colours and swirling form evoke instant delight and nostalgia, yet also embody the fleeting nature of satisfaction in a consumer-driven world. Through this work, I explore how vibrant, tempting objects are marketed as sources of happiness—only to leave us craving more. It’s a reflection on the cycle of desire, where sweetness is momentary, but longing persists.

Rory Fink is a photographic artist based in Melbourne, Australia and has been working in the creative industry since completing a bachelor of arts in fine arts photography in 2002. Rory has exhibited in a number of galleries and has been a finalist in numerous competitions over a decades long career.
