RED HEEL
This photographic sculpture of a red high heel is part of Consumer Loves, a series that investigates the deep-rooted longing that propels our ceaseless pursuit of desire. The red heel—bold, seductive, and emblematic of glamour—symbolises the promises woven into consumer culture: confidence, allure, and identity. Yet beneath its polished surface lies a tension between aspiration and fulfilment, highlighting how the objects we covet often offer fleeting satisfaction. This work reflects on the paradox of consumption—the more we chase, the more we yearn.

Rory Fink is a photographic artist based in Melbourne, Australia and has been working in the creative industry since completing a bachelor of arts in fine arts photography in 2002. Rory has exhibited in a number of galleries and has been a finalist in numerous competitions over a decades long career.
